Topic > Bedside Behavior: Mandatory Skills for Medical Staff

Working in the medical field is a great experience and a fantastic career to pursue in the future. My major is Health Sciences and I want to become an RN. In other words, a registered nurse. A registered nurse requires many skills. Many existing doctors already have these skills, but others may not. However, there is a problem that our industry faces, and it's called "Bedside Manners." Good bedside manners must have professional manners both in the hospital and in the clinic. One way to solve this problem is to create a class to talk about "Bedside Manners" and how we can improve them. To solve "bedside manners", we should create a course to improve our skills and satisfy our patients. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get an Original Essay You are most likely wondering what exactly “Bedside Manners” means. The problem refers to having good communication and excellent interactions with patients. Many doctors do not seem to follow those bedside manners needed in the industry. Many of the problems we've noticed are the most common ones out there. Bad examples are walking into the patient's room without greeting, interacting, or helping them. It is necessary that the patient feels comfortable and welcomed. The reason is that all this helps the patient to trust their doctor. Patients will then follow all the rules we have given them. The question is, what exactly brought this issue to my attention. Many doctors get used to what they do in hospitals/clinics, so they tend to get lazy in taking every step. What they don't know is that the patient won't be able to know what's happening in the process. For example, I saw a PCT (patient care technologist) perform a capillary puncture on a patient. His first step was to knock on the door and enter the room. The next step was to greet the patient by asking how he or she is doing, feeling, and does he or she need anything, such as something to drink. This is to make the patient feel welcomed at home and comfortable in asking for everything they need. This is a great example of how Bedside Manners should work in this medical industry. A bad example of “Bedside Manner” makes our path terrifying to the world. The opposite of what I listed above. The people affected by the problem are doctors, patients and their families. Bedside Manners can help most doctors by improving and acquiring impeccable skills. They can most likely gain emotional stability, have great compassion, have good problem-solving skills, etc. I believe this can solve the problem because they can have a better idea on how things should work and what could happen if they don't pursue these rules and steps. This issue not only affects anyone in the healthcare industry, but can also negatively affect doctors. One way to understand how it can affect them is through their abilities. Their abilities can increase or decrease positively or negatively. Both cases can happen, but if they choose to do the opposite, then this can be negatively affected. The ability that I have learned/acquired in my journey regarding the problem/solution is to acquire respect towards patients and their families in order to comfort them. them in everything they need, which is a longer version of "Bedside Manners". I will use these skills by entering the patient's room in the right way and introducing myself, so I can explain the process I will be working on with them. This can also help us to be more open and more. 2019.
