According to the US Department of Education, "..two-thirds of American students go to college after high school.", and of the two-thirds, I was one of them , who went to college right after high school. The fact that I didn't expect the first semester of college to change me quickly, I myself have noticed some transformation in these few months that I have been here. I'm still taking the first step into adulthood. The changes include finding my independence, appreciating my family, and a greater sense of self-confidence. Being away from my family means that I am evidently independent, but when I say finding my independence, I mean that I feel I have more motivation to do things on my own now, not just because I have no alternative to my parents doing things for me, but also because I like doing things alone now.
