Edwin Sutherland's work has received high praise, and many researchers over the years have used his work to strengthen their own research (Bernard, 2008). In his presentation he started with “what is white collar crime?” this question is answered by a quote from Edwin Sutherland “a crime committed by a respectable person of high social status in the course of his profession”. (Sutherland, 1939) In his research he briefly states the difference between blue collar crimes and white collar crimes (Macpherson, 2012). A law professor at Louisiana State University, John S.
