My life's quest is to gain awareness. Mindfulness means being aware of your surroundings and at the same time having control over your actions and thoughts. In other words: pay attention in a particular way. Be open to many options and compare them with your own opinions. Also live in the moment by focusing on your surroundings and what you do. All of these phrases help describe what mindfulness is. This 3-syllable word can also mean perseverance, charity, and living life to the fullest. Perseverance is one of the most important qualities in life. Being able to overcome difficult times and motivate the mind to continue gaining knowledge. Ever since I was little, I was encouraged to become a doctor. I didn't know why, but I just wanted to encourage him. After my twelfth birthday, I found out that my mother had colon cancer. That night I cried myself to sleep, wondering whether he would make it or not. I have 6 siblings, 4 brothers, two sisters, excluding me. Luckily it was only the first stage of the cancer, he was able to undergo surgery and chemotherapy. During the therapy the antibiotics she was given were strong. He had a rash on his arm, lost a lot of hair and was in pain all the time. He fought, because we children were the reason he wanted to live. After 3 years, chemotherapy was a success. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who saved my mother's life and answered the question I had since I was a child. I want to achieve my goal of becoming a doctor to impact the lives of others and give back to the community by helping children and adults achieve lasting lives. Charity is the voluntary giving of help. Being a doctor for me is giving a nice... middle of paper... when my father took me home and left to go take care of my mother in the hospital. I explain the situation to all my brothers. I remember my little sister crying and my little sister asking, “where's mommy? Will mom come home?” Finally, three weeks after she felt better, I still remember the doctor's statement before I left the hospital. He told me in front of my mother: "You are a lucky daughter, your mother should have been dead, her spirit should have left her body, she should have been dead since I took her to the hospital. I don't know, but your mother is a strong woman. I said thank you and left with mom. From that day on I spend every day trying to be with my family, working hard throughout school, giving back to the community to thank them, living each day as if it were your last. Finally, he is trying to be aware.
