Computers and I have never gotten along. However, I'm not the only one. Many people have problems with computers and I am among those unlucky souls. Like many others, when something goes wrong, I panic. Therefore, I created a mnemonic device to help, which is "Bounteous Sacrifices Bore Particular Rulers" which represents the five steps on how to handle computer malfunctions for non-technically savvy people. The steps are breathing, petting, baby talk, begging, and starting again. Each step has an important role to play in dealing with a computer problem. Breathing helps you calm down. Pet, talk like a child, and plead: Use humor to calm a tense situation. Rebooting is the final and easiest step; you need to restart your computer to get it working again.
