Schools are affected in many ways by the start of school. Having a later start time allows students on campus to make the school itself look good. This is because the better a student feels when they arrive in class, the more positive the direct impact will be on how school is viewed by outsiders. Having students focused and ready to learn thanks to a good night's sleep reduces the number of discipline problems in the school. It has been shown that students who do not receive good enough recess come to class with a bad attitude and are more likely to be influenced to misbehave and cause problems for teachers.
