After completing the motivating teacher report, I was amazed at how many goals my motivating teacher had achieved. I enjoyed connecting concrete examples of what this teacher does to the PDP goal statements. One of the things that was very evident during this week was the collaborative nature of teaching. When I think back to my experience volunteering in his classroom, I realize how much effort he made to bring the administration and other teachers together to develop interdisciplinary activities and reconstruct new policies for things like plagiarism; Goal four is related to this because it is based on a commitment to maintaining an ethical and functional working relationship with all members of the educational community. I have always seen my mentor as a great teacher, but now I also see how amazing he is as a collaborative member of the teaching community. After returning home from Burnaby North Secondary, I felt really happy with my decision to become a high school teacher. Standing in the eleven-year English classroom I had an overwhelming feeling that this was the kind of environment I found myself in
