This shaping of a mindset through education is found in all three of the authors' articles, but is developed better in Anyon's. He explains how different levels of education help develop different “cognitive and behavioral skills” etched through repetitive instruction (Anyon 413) and that this development changes how students grow into the interplay between physical capital, symbolic capital, and authority in the work environment (Anyone). Kozol supports this claim with the observation of a lower grade classroom, in which the teacher taught the subject by forcing students to comply with a set of instructions given to them. In this case the cognitive and behavioral skills that students have acquired by following
