Final Project: Brokeback Mountain The film discussed in this project is Brokeback Mountain, directed by Ang Lee. This film was released in 2005. The film is about two young men, Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, who get jobs taking care of sheep during the summer at Brokeback Mountain in Wyoming. Ennis is engaged to Alma. They will get married in the fall. Ennis wants to have his own ranch one day. Jack wants to become the greatest rodeo cowboy alive. Ennis and Jack become friends and later start dating. By the end of the summer, both will continue on their way. Ennis married Alma and they have two daughters. Jack has a son with a cowgirl named Lureen whose father is rich because he has a business selling machinery to farmers. Later, Ennis and Jack get back in touch and begin going on "fishing trips". Alma sees Ennis and Jack kissing the first time Jack returns to Wyoming and visits Ennis. He becomes suspicious about the trips and later realizes the truth about the fishing trips. Alma and Ennis divorce and Ennis can only see his daughter...
