Discrimination, stereotypes and prejudices are constant problems in society, present at any age and in all cultural and social contexts. The results of discriminatory behavior towards different children can compromise psychological development and cause episodes of depression that sometimes lead to suicide (Schoolboy bullied, 2009). Suicide among adolescents is not a new phenomenon, but discrimination based on appearance is certainly a form of catalyst that makes the pressure of growing up increasingly high and unbearable (Konopka, 1983). This research will focus on discrimination against red hair because scientific research has covered other forms of discrimination based on appearance, but discrimination against red hair remains a neglected area in both society (Bellasugar Australia, 2009) and scientific research . The genetic mutation responsible for red hair was discovered in 1995, but this research left no significant impact and future research based on this discovery has been dedicated to exploring other differences in genetic makeup between people with red hair and people with another hair color (Johansen, 2005). For example, it is established that red hair is the first phenotype linked to pain tolerance (Knight, 2002). Research conducted by Edwin Liem, Teresa Joiner, Kentaro Tsueda, and Daniel Sessler (2005) demonstrated that red-haired women are more sensitive to thermal pain than dark-haired women, and the results confirmed previous studies on hair resistance red to anesthetics. There were several limitations to this study, including possible bias on the part of the researchers and subjective responses on the part of the participants, but Liem, Joiner, Tsueda, and Sessler (2005) reached the desired conclusion because they did not consider these limitations... half of paper ......lapses during childhood, failure to reverse the prejudice will most likely result in maintenance of the prejudice throughout adulthood. Since no research has been done regarding hair color discrimination, the main purpose of this research will be to collect and analyze data, so that future research will be possible. Without providing empirical evidence of the existence of discrimination against red-haired people, it is not possible to continue exploring the effects of discrimination on the psychological development of red-haired people. More importantly, prejudice against red-haired people is the most neglected area of prejudice, and people should be more open about it than about political, racial, religious, and other prejudices, so future research could perhaps provide information on the variables that influence the formation of red hair. biases that researchers studying other forms of appearance-based bias have failed to notice.
