There are many theoretical models of consultancy. Often, a diverse approach or the use of multiple approaches is the best solution for solving problems. I use different theories and strategies in my role as a consultant. However, it is the individual personal theory and family theory model that anchor my counseling orientation as a Christian counselor. Individual personal theory of counseling is very important to the success of any therapeutic process that influences how I counsel. Personal perspective, the way the world works, the belief system, the way things interact, and the way they actually are form the basis of how all individuals function in life. To make the best decision regarding any therapeutic process, I must deeply understand the individual's personal theory. This is believed to enhance the client's interaction with an advisor and provide an integrated approach from me as an advisor. This understanding is also critical to effective intervention with individuals who have different values ​​than me as a counselor. Understanding individual world theory also helps me as a consultant in identifying weaknesses, strengths and areas for improvement. As a counselor, my personal orientations on the other hand are the influences such as values, interests, compassion, and self-awareness, among others, that influence the personal theory of counseling, discussed above. These personal orientations correspond to other therapeutic approaches while others do not, so understanding is important. Family systems theory bases its argument on the concept that to understand the family effectively and efficiently, it is necessary to evaluate the entire family. Individual and personal counseling theory along with the therapist's orientation have a greater influence on family therapy. This can be negative, for example, if the therapist's orientation contravenes the client's values, as evidenced by the Christian values ​​discussed above. It is also important for the therapist to be aware of clients' needs and unique circumstances, such as in the case of domestic violence. However, an effective strategy can ensure that these forces do not influence the process. Finally, the environment and diversity of the population one works with plays an important role in family systems therapy and should be considered critically.
