Topic > Animal Farm: Innocent or Lies for Power - 865

After reading the book "Animal Farm" I thought it was a good book with many similarities that I could connect with reality. I also thought the author explained the behavior very well. During this book many things happen that are very similar to reality, such as tyrants, false power and many lies. To start I'll tell you about the main characters and then what they will accomplish during their time on animal farm. I will also discuss what they want, whether they are innocent or lying to be in power. This book is about many characters, mostly animals. There are six main characters, the first of which is Old Major; an old pig who has won many contests and is Jones' favorite. The second is Jones, the man who ran the Manor Farm before the rebellion. The third is Snowball, Snowball is a good pig who was very good at talking and was very respected being the first leader of the rebellion. The fourth is the one and only Napoleon; a pig very similar to Snowball. At first he helps lead the rebellion with Snowball, but later disappears with some dogs. He returns and drives out Snowball, becoming the new leader of the rebellion and the farm. The fifth is Clarinet; who stands next to Napoleon as right-hand man, is the second best known compared to the other pigs. He is one of the best persuaders and speakers. The sixth is the great Boxer horse; he is a horse that works harder than anyone else on the entire farm. It has 2 quotes "I will work harder" and "Napoleon is always right". He adopted these quotes at the start of the rebellion and during the execution. There are many more characters in this book but they are inferior characters, which means they have a brief role as animals. Then I'll talk about what animals want. The first thing is... the center of the card... An important event in the book is the moment when the rebellion begins, because this is the beginning of a new beginning. It is also the beginning of a great adventure that the animals are about to embark on. The reason I say this is because it leads to many events, some happy and some terrible. Without the rebellion they probably would have starved because Jones would always get drunk and not take care of them. In conclusion Animal Farm was a great book full of ideas. The writer tells many stories from many points of view. It also had a great connection to the real world as there was a false power and each animal could represent a different person in reality. This book was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading about modern times or government. Works Citedcliff Notes
