IntroductionHistorically, multiple styles of clothing have been created over the last few decades, which have played an important role in modern fashion in the UK. Everyone has a different and unique dressing style in life in general. Some styles are influenced by vintage styles which attribute to the profound effects of old fashion, and another group of clothing styles are inclined towards the fresh element. According to these different styles, some of them have even evolved into milestones in fashion history. To begin this essay, I will introduce the evaluation of the first significant clothing style revolution in the 1960s. A famous designer called Mary Quant created the mini skirt which became the most popular fashion style of that decade (Tracy Tolkien., 2002). Secondly, this article would like to compare the clothing style of the 80s with that of the 60s (Tracy Tolkien. , 2002). Finally, it is the discussion about the influences of vintage styles from the 60s and 80s on modern fashion in the UK and this article would like to demonstrate the new fashion trend in recent years. This project will analyze the clothing styles of two different eras and conclude by discussing the effects on British fashion in particular. Clothing styles in the 1960s and 1960s were a significant decade for the fashion world in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, there has also been a notable change with clothing styles within the mini and maxi. In general, in the 1960s the way people dressed was artificial, unattractive and limited (Tracy Tolkien., 2002). However, young people experienced the period of highest incomes after World War II; therefore, they began to pay more attention outside of basic human provision. So, boys and girls began to want some new items to add to...... middle of paper...... The introduction of miniskirts brought a whirlwind in the summer of 1960. Furthermore, Peter Max Also t-shirts were in fashion in the 1960s. Also, as we discussed the 80s fashion style. The clothes were powerful and simple. Most importantly, the colors were deeper than in the 60s and these designers prefer to add jewels on the garments. Additionally, many products were luxurious in the 1980s because the economy had recovered during that time. Modern fashion is significant; it brings a lot of changes and has a huge influence on life in general. Heskett (2002) stated that it not only changes the lifestyle but also changes the minds of a generation. Modern fashion continues to improve its functions and forms, also it has a long way to go and huge space to discover and create.
