Stumptown Coffee Roasteries I never really appreciated small local coffee shops when I worked at Coffee Bean, until I got hired at a local coffee shop that served Stumptown coffee. Stumptown only has one location in California, which is located in the arts district of South Central Los Angeles. The coffee shop is huge let alone, they have their own roastery where they roast all their beans. Not only do they have their own roastery, but they also have their own training lab for new baristas, which is unique because no other cafe has it. In this regard I trained in Stumptown last month and it was a fascinating experience! Early one Sunday morning, while I was in my father's truck. When my dad dropped me off in Stumptown early one Sunday morning for my first day of practice. I saw a large crowd of people packed inside the store. At the same time, the bar's parking lot was full of cars pulling in and patrons trying to find parking in a small, crowded lot. As I entered the cafe, I was pleasantly greeted by the bold aroma of espresso. The coffee shop set the tone for the store by playing White. The training lab is very unique because it is the only coffee shop in California to have one. In the laboratory you will be able to learn the correct techniques to use to prepare espresso-based drinks and the reasons why it is necessary to use these techniques. When I walk by for the first time I see the giant black and silver espresso machine. Above the espresso machine I see brown cups and next to them I see silver milk jugs. On the counter I see a jug of water with three glasses next to it along with the producers on the side. To my right I see a plasma TV playing the Cranberries. The laboratory room has the same modern architecture and colors as the main floor, i.e. black, white and black
