Children with less parental involvement usually do not do as well as students with active parental involvement. I believe because when a child is younger, if their parents don't show interest in school work, they won't either because younger children love to do things to please their parents and get their parents' attention. If they know that getting a good grade will earn them the attention they desire, they will try harder in school. The exosystem is interesting to me because I have never thought about how a parent connects to school and neighborhood peers
