I accepted the calling and it seems like a minute after talking to my pastor, everything changed. I was meant to do what I'm about to do, which is a huge step for me, and yes, it's scary, but I know God has me in the palm of his hand. Long gone are the days of parties and gatherings. My pastor said God will do a quick thing, in other words, in the next 3-5 years I will be pastoring a church. It's fate, I wouldn't have imagined that this was what he had planned for me, but it is. In His foreknowledge He knew where I would be and what I would do. It is no coincidence that I am attending Colorado Christian University, but these are steps that have been divinely ordained. In preparation for the calling to be a pastor, the Bible says, “study to shew thyself approved, a workman that needeth not to be righteously ashamed, dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). I have an endless thirst for knowledge. More importantly, I thirst for God's Word. It is a hunger that can only be satisfied by studying His word and learning from others. You can't lead anyone to Christ if you don't know the word, or if you haven't applied it
