I choose the Renunciation project as my project. Renunciation means our act of giving up, abandoning, repudiating or sacrificing something, such as ambition. I know there are several links related to this topic that the Professor has provided to us. I choose the "Diet For America" video by John Robins, and it's a really good motivating video. I love the word that John Robin said: “Our lives really make a difference simply by being more conscious of the food we eat. We can heal ourselves, we can heal the environment, we can heal this planet.” Some people are afraid to become vegetarians because they fear they won't be able to get protein; this is a wrong statement. We can also get protein from vegetables just as we can get it from When I was in my second year of high school I became a vegetarian for 1 month. For me it wasn't a difficult thing because I like vegetables just as I love meat. I was vegetarian for 1 month, it was my desire, without any forcing from anyone, and I was really enjoying it. Today I choose this project to become a vegetarian; I know I'm going to really enjoy myself this time. I started eating vegetarian on January 14, 2016 and stopped on January 20, 2016. I cooked for myself because I think it was more convenient and cleaner. As everyone knows, here in Los Angeles it is difficult to find a restaurant that offers only vegetarian dishes; so I decide to cook myself. I'll put some photos of my food here. In my experience, being a vegetarian for these 6 days was wonderful. I felt healthier and more powerful, and I felt freer for not having killed a soul (animals) for these six days. As I said above, being vegetarian can help create a better environment and it's true. According to my research, people who eat animal products such as meat have a higher rate of contracting diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and heart attack. Why don't we become vegetarians? It's not difficult and it's good for our health, our environment and our planet, go green!. Here I provide some pictures from my days from
