About 8 million tourists visited Hawaii in 2007, while only 82 million visited France in the same year. Kole, a 17-year-old, found this information while trying to decide where to go for his senior trip. He longed to leave the small, cold town of Rigby and travel to a different place that piqued his interest. The bright sun of the Hawaiian Islands caught his attention and he was forced not to let it go, but that was the mentality of anyone who lived in the cold season; obviously go somewhere warm. However, on the one hand, Kole wanted to go to a place overflowing with art and history; he wanted a place where he could satisfy his overwhelming desire to learn. France was just the right place. Both places were like two magnets pulling him in opposite directions. It seemed impossible to choose, because both seemed to shoot with the same intensity. Several points emerged that would help him decide which one to choose: the climate, the tour hot spots, the expenses and the necessary preparation. Information based on these key points would determine which destination to choose. When people think of Hawaii, bright sunshine and warm sandy beaches usually come to mind. This is probably due to the fact that Hawaii is located very close to the equator and therefore the sun is usually very intense. In fact, the average temperature is around 80 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. Although the weather is generally very relaxing in Hawaii, thunderstorms can occasionally occur. The islands experience strong trade winds and are subject to occasional storms. They are not hit very often by major hurricanes, the last of which occurred in 1992. Small tropical storms that bring heavy storms and rain are much more common. Because of all this, the flash floods... middle of the card... and they were destined to win. The pressure in Kole's head was building and he could feel a headache coming on. What was supposed to be a very relaxing and joyful occasion for Kole was turning into a moment of resentment and one that he just wanted to get over. Eventually one of the magnets took over. The reason for the decision was very small and it took some convincing, but he had made up his mind. One of the destinations had finally captured Kole's mind, and that was where he was going.
