Topic > Themes in "Tijuana Straits" by Kem Nunn - 731

The environment is getting worse as the years go by. Mainly because of the factories that are being created. It's bad enough that corporations are coming out of America to exploit civilians in other countries by giving them low-wage jobs that don't care about their health. Viewing employees as expendable is a terrible way to run a business since there are no personal connections and no care for any of them. Having factories that pollute and treat their employees like animals is an issue that needs to be shed light on. Nunn tries to put us in a situation where we will understand the problem and hopefully make something of it. He could have kept that topic more prominent in the story as I often forgot that this was why he tried to recover the documents. The story from the readers' point of view just feels like a revenge plot with a hint of love
