Topic > Controversy within the National Football League

There is a considerable amount of controversy within the National Football League (NFL) over whether or not the NFL Combine is necessary for future athletes coming out of college to perform at the combine or less. This competition between athletes does not predict their professional future on a large scale. It gives NFL team scouts just an in-depth look at specific athletes who could improve their team's performance. Once the harvest is complete, it will never be examined again by observers from the player's team. The combine's original use is to obtain all player medical tests taken at this event. The workouts and tests are just a bonus for NFL team representatives to get a physical look at the players. When an athlete enters the NFL, doors begin to open and opportunities begin to present themselves. An athlete will realize that his life is starting to change in different ways. Athletes don't consider their job boring, it's more like a hobby. The role athletes play in fans' lives predicts how people view them. NFL athletes play an important role in fans' outlook on life. An athlete will notice that people want to look like them, talk like them, and even act like them. Leadership roles are placed in people's journeys as a result of these great athletes posing as leaders in everyday life. Like anything else, although it has a downside. Not only do people experience the incredible actions performed by players on the field, but the field can be another story. Bad things can happen off the field and you can see some teenagers or kids wanting to do what their role models do. These things could be like getting into bar fights, dabbling in drugs, and/or drinking. Athletes don't realize that their actions are... middle of paper... the severity of the tear. Football is currently the leading cause of concussions for professional athletes, as expressed by ESPN. Believe it or not, limb injury is not the worst injury a professional athlete suffers. Injuries are important for anyone who plays this sport. Some injuries aren't that serious, but others are. When these injuries are serious, the best way to manage them is to speak to a doctor immediately. Just like any job, there are negatives and positives to being in the NFL. Sure, being a professional athlete may ask more of a person, but that's what a person would experience from any job. Paying everyone is always a plus, but being able to do what you've always wanted is better than anything a person could ask for. Travel and injuries are always a problem. But above all, if that's what you want to do, it's worth the work.
