Bullying has been a serious problem in today's schools Bullying is a serious problem in today's society, especially among adolescents. Since teenagers spend most of their time in school, this environment needs to be as safe as possible. Schools need to be more proactive in addressing the problem of bullying because many students are bullied in many different ways, the effects can be deadly, and students deserve a safe place to learn. At school, kids are bullied in many different ways. For example, students are bullied online and in person, physically abused, and many other things. This abuse occurs because bullies choose to ignore the difference between right and wrong. A recently completed study states that “although bullies can learn a variety of anti-bullying techniques, they may simply choose not to practice what they learn” (Bidwell 1). The study shows that bullies in schools continue to behave in a bullying manner even though they know it shouldn't be happening.
