I'm in love with music because it always seems to make my day go by better. Rap, recitals, jazz and classical concerts are high on my list of favorite music. My passion for music made me very excited to go to the Columbus State Music Concert held at the River Center of Performing Arts In the Legacy Room. The theater is in a beautiful location offering audiences a full range of sounds and sights. The sounds are amazing and I really liked how I could hear everything. The stage can be seen from wherever you decide to stand. For this particular concert, the venue was dimly lit. The staged concert was graced by several musicians, with their incredible performances. The audience couldn't help but dance and sing along with the musicians. During this concert report I will tell you about the three recitals I attended and how they struck me as the best music I have ever heard. The first recital I attended was performed by the lovely Hannah Evans on Saturday 5th October, she played the viola. His performance really impressed me because it is very fluid and elegant, he started his arrangement in a very soft and sweet way which seemed to calm the crowd. His performance tone for me was one of a kind, his songwriting and his playing of the instrument itself were amazing. The viola looked very similar to the violin but sounded slightly different. Listening to her play I found myself wondering what the difference is between the two instruments, and this is what I discovered. There is no standard size for a viola. The body of a viola is typically between 38cm and 43cm long. A standard violin has a body length of 35.5 cm. However, violin bows are approximately 1cm longer than viola bows. As far as sound goes, violas are the second highest pitch... in the middle of the paper... endless. Throughout the piece, the flute's sole purpose is to produce extended notes that seem to arise from the lute's rapid, raw statements. The other instruments usually level out when the flute note rises, as if in response, so the music constantly undergoes an audible change from its frenzy to the stillness of the long notes. The background of the second canto is very devoid of character and sense of silence. behind the sound deepens for a moment. It seemed to make up for the craziness that occurred in the first canto, the overall performance was just ok but the students did a great job. In closing I would like to state that going to all of these performances really showed me how much time and effort it takes for each student to prepare and perform respected pieces. I really hope that next time I can go to something more, and maybe one day have a performance of my own.
