Homosociality is the social interaction between members of the same sex. The entire movie is basically an interaction between Tyler Durden and the main character (the narrator). The interaction between these two in the film is basically the same interaction that Kimmel says most guys have. They don't talk about their feelings or show any emotion other than aggression. Kimmel says that no matter where they are, kids are always trying to "outdo" or "outdo" other kids. It doesn't matter if it's at a party and the kids have to keep drinking more to be the biggest drinker or if it's a sporting event and the kids have to keep doing more and more to make sure they're the best athlete. Likewise in Fight Club, it all started because Tyler and the narrator decided to fight outside the bar to see who could take a beating like more of a man.
