Topic > Creative Leadership: Methodology and Philosophy of Science

Methodology and Philosophy of ScienceIn this chapter I discuss research methods suitable for study and what is useful to use in response to the problem statement directed at creative leaders in companies. Furthermore, in this chapter I present the methods I used to find the information needed for the project. Therefore, this part specifies the research methods I used, the collection and analysis of the collected data. Philosophy of Science All people in the world, culture, appearance and behavior mainly depend on nationality and country. So, the view of the world and the way they perceive it is different. Since we all have different lives, different destinies, so many things we create our own truth and perceive our surroundings in a different way. I, as a group of one, am subjectivist and believe that everyone learns and takes knowledge from their own experience, what kind of life they live and also how they interpret the information they read, listen to or etc. I recognize multiple truths and take each person's opinion into consideration. Everyone has their own opinion on everything, so I don't judge because other people's opinion is different from mine, I just accept it. So, everyone perceives the world differently, whether it's in my interview or in the secondary data I collect. Furthermore, subjectivism is an epistemological theory (theory of knowledge), as everyone can realize it. As I said before, subjectivism is that the knowledge that each person acquires begins with his or her private feelings, emotions, ideas, etc. Because of this, everyone acquires a different understanding of the world and even social life. Furthermore, the same we can apply and for companies, because like every individual has...... middle of paper ......ges. The first benefit would be that I saved some time. Second advantage: the person I wanted to interview about creative leadership and also about the company he works for didn't need to plan our meeting, he could answer my questions whenever he wanted. Naturally, the interviewee has less chance of a spontaneous answer to the question, because he has more time to think about the answer. One disadvantage would be that I couldn't get enough information that might be suitable for me. Because when you talk to a person then more questions can arise and because of that you know more. An additional disadvantage is that the interviewer, in this case me, may have to wait days or weeks for the interviewee to answer the questions. This also carries the risk that the person who has to answer the questions will forget to answer.
