When my first grade teacher asked me what I wanted to do in the future, I told her, "I want to be a doctor." My answer remained exactly the same when my 11th grade English teacher asked the question. Since I was little, science has always captured my interest. I was fascinated by how our bodies worked and how everything had an explanation behind it. In high school I was offered several classes and soon fell in love with English and history as well. Although I was able to quickly understand the lessons taught in History classes, I realized that I needed a lot of time to understand the material in my science classes. This didn't discourage me though; it only increased my love for the classroom. I would quickly try to finish all my homework so I could start reading my science textbooks. Last summer I decided to try both fields (history and science). I worked as an intern in Reshma Saujani's campaign. She was the former candidate for New York City public advocate.
