Prohibits anyone, including private individuals and federal agencies, from "taking" endangered wildlife or harming any listed species. This section makes it illegal to import or export any species to or from the United States. Prohibits the possession, sale, delivery, transportation, or transportation of any listed animal near the United States. Consequences may occur if a person violates any instructions regarding endangered species or any plants considered endangered. Permits may be issued if the “capture” of an endangered species occurs for a good reason. Permits can be used for scientific reasons, for the recovery or protection of endangered species, or for any incidental need to carry out a legal activity (Albrech 2008). The Endangered Species Act is a very powerful law. It has saved many species and continues to protect the endangered habitat of various animals. Even though the law regulates the rules, there are many people who disobey the law and make it difficult for endangered species to continue their lives uninterrupted.
