Regionalism, on the other hand, is more of a sense of identity created and implemented by institutions, hence my feeling about the identity produced. In the case of Europe I believe that regionalism has certainly won the hearts of nationals. Their politics helped build and their growing economy did not stop planning their future as a European union. Nationalism in the EU has deteriorated due to a lack of interest in preserving it. For decades the EU has been the scene of a large influx of immigrants and countries have not been able to represent their identity to newcomers, resulting in a large mix of cultures and languages ​​with no loyalty to the country, I dare say not there is a sense of majoritarian patriotism. The mistake is that by breaking the foundation on which an identity was built, and a new one is created, there is nothing that can find any kind of support, reason to believe that a well-constructed identity can still prevail, leaving only to say that I think regionalism will overcome nationalism, if the foundations are not taken care of they open the doors for institutions to create new ones
