In terms of human life, this is directly related to the numerous decisions an individual must make during his or her lifetime. Furthermore, it reflects the possible consequences of accepting one path and following another as the character in the poem waits and looks at the path further away to perceive what would be the best choice and get the best outcome, just as many do in daily life. The poem continues then comparing the two paths as if contemplating which road to take while traveling through the forest. The poem goes on to say that both paths looked beautiful and were worn much the same. This outlines many of life's difficulties. When two seemingly positive outcomes present themselves, what is the best course to take and which will have the optimal ending?
