Through accountability policies, all staff remain accountable for their actions. Close supervision leads to an increase in the amount of paperwork and the number of rules. Furthermore, it is important to abolish procedures that encourage corruption. Punitive control also provides a way to end corruption. Correctional institutions should employ intelligence using citizens, police actions themselves and investigating police activities. While using honest and corrupt personnel, the organization should make them name the people involved in corruption. External control strategies also help prevent corruption.
