Health is a fundamental factor in today's society. Many people are looking for ways to stay healthy and prolong their lives. Vegetarianism is how you can achieve your health goals. A vegetarian is someone who does not consume meat in their diet and can also eliminate eggs and dairy products. Why eat meat that contains chemicals, growth hormones and preservatives when you can just eliminate all of that? Being a vegetarian is a lifestyle and a superior choice when trying to stay healthy. Health is the number one concern of people today. So many people play with healthcare gimmicks daily and many of them are scams and don't work. If our number one concern is health, then why shouldn't we eliminate a major health issue like meat? Meat is definitely a health issue because there is so much bad meat out there. Recently, in the last two months, 8.7 million pounds of meat were recalled from the market due to hepatitis coli. The way animals are processed and slaughtered is inhumane and incredibly unhygienic. People die because of the way meat is cleaned and processed, so why not eliminate it? The health benefits of being vegetarian are incredible. Many people are uneducated on the subject and think that if they are vegetarians they are only doing so to help save animals or because they are morally against eating them, which is a possibility. I don't eat meat because of the health risks and the fact that being a vegetarian makes you much healthier. Why wouldn't you want to be healthier and live a longer life? An example is how to ward off diseases. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Vegetarians avoid this risk by eating more… half paper… etc., because who doesn't do what to live a longer, healthier life? But we certainly know that most of the world will always eat meat, regardless of the risks or benefits. This is part of life, everyone is entitled to an opinion and their own choices and I have definitely made mine for the better. Works Cited "Why Go Veg?". Vegetarian times. Np, nd Web.
