“I'm sorry,” said the examiner. “You need to practice more.” Before I passed my driving test, I failed it twice. As a result, I have more experience on proper riding technique because I learned so much more by correcting my inadequate riding skills. It can be a formidable challenge for novice drivers to pass the driving test if they don't follow the proper steps. Therefore, to pass the driving test without problems, novice drivers should read the driver's manual, calm tense nerves and observe traffic conditions. The first step is to understand the information in the driver's manual well before the driving test. First of all, novice drivers should be familiar with car basics, such as brake control and arm signals. Since these items will be observed by an examiner at the start of the driving test, the examinee will have a good start if he or she prepares adequately. Additionally, the Driver's Manual contains numerous road signs, which student drivers need to keep in mind because this can prompt novice drivers to drive more smoothly as such signs warn them of what they will encounter. For example, a one-way sign warns drivers that it is a one-way street for vehicles, so if they drive on a one-way street in the opposite direction, they could cause a serious accident. The last part of the Driver's Manual mainly teaches novice drivers the right way to drive on the road, so we can learn how to turn, how to park the car and how to maintain safety. Mastery of the Driver's Manual is essential for student drivers to prepare for a driving test; however, just remembering information from the book is not enough to pass the exam. The next step is to calm down and be confident when the driving test begins. Obviously, most people get nervous when taking a driving test, especially for those people who repeat it. They are afraid of forgetting the rules, failing the test, or even causing an accident; however, nervous nerves cannot help them pass the test. Therefore, novice drivers should get enough rest on the day of the test so that they can concentrate on driving rather than sensations. Additionally, having a positive attitude can boost novice drivers' self-confidence. The more confident people are during the test, the better they will perform. During my last driving test, I unloaded the psychological burden of having failed the test three times and was confident in driving.
