The grammar and usage in all of my writing, however, is a bit poor. Most of the time I am unaware of the simplest grammatical and mechanical errors. The composition of the text was different in each project. For example, Storify and the multimodal photo essay required me to include more images, but the summary and response and compare and contrast essay required more writing and text. In the Storify and Multimodal Photo Essay images were used to convey the thesis statement instead of words. Text in these projects was used to further explain the meaning of each image. At the beginning of the English course I was unfamiliar with the format used, but as I was assigned more projects, I became more familiar with the format and am able to write in the appropriate format without referring to the template provided. However, I sometimes get confused with the page format of the cited work, especially in the Multimodal Photo Essay. Through my analysis, I found that my grammar and usage need to be improved. The more drafts I write, the less aware I become of incorrect grammar usage. Mechanical and grammatical errors occur when I don't look at my essays carefully. Therefore, I have mastered half of goal four, which is to compose texts of various genres and have good control of the format. I hope I am
