Uterine cancer is a major female health problem that develops rapidly and kills over 200,000 women each year. No one has discovered the real cause, but there is one main factor that raises great suspicions about what is causing the rapid growth of this cancer. The history of endometrial cancer is very vague, but there are many factors and facts about previous patients that one needs to worry about. From the sources I researched, there was no specific name by which people could say they had discovered cancer. Many scientists and doctors don't actually talk about cancer. Basically this cancer has the supported information on how it occurs, where it occurs in the body, how it can be treated and who to turn to when you need help. Endometrial cancer is found in the endometrium, which is the lining of the uterus. The endometrium which is located in the pelvic area of the woman and is where the fetus grows until birth. Endometrial cancer occurs when endometrial cells begin to grow and multiply without the control mechanisms that normally limit their growth. As the cells grow, they form a tumor. The exact cause of endometrial cancer is unknown, but there are many risk factors that lead to this cancer's rapid growth, killing thousands of women every year. Endometrial cancer is usually found in women between the ages of 50 and 60. Obese women, fifteen pounds above their ideal weight, are at ten times greater risk than non-obese women. Body fat produces estrogen, and a higher level of estrogen is thought to increase the risk of cancer. This is believed because women with excess fat have higher levels of estrogen.
