Good posture should be observed. Avoid looking like a stiff cardboard cutout (Rogen et al., 2015). It is very normal to get nervous during an interview, even the most experienced professionals get nervous. When one appears to be too nervous, one draws the wrong conclusion for the interviewer. The interviewer will question your ability to do the job. If you are stooped, you get the impression that you are not interested in the position or rather that you are lazy. If there is anything that portrays confidence it is eye contact with the interviewer (Rogen et al., 2015). Profanity and slang should be avoided when speaking; you have to be professional and appear polite. The more polished and confident you appear, the better your chances of leaving the interviewer with a good impression of you. ii. Keep the interview positive You need to keep away all negative comments about previous employers and jobs. Avoid complaining, in the context of any job-related tasks or responsibilities, that you were assigned in your previous position (“Ten Rules for Job Interview Success | QuintCareers,” n.d.). This will make you look lazy and incompetent for the job as all employers want to hire someone who is enthusiastic, able to face and deal with work challenges, finally a positive person.iii.
