Topic > Pollution is one of the leading causes of death globally - 887

Pollution is one of the leading causes of death globally, affecting over 100 million people. This compares to global diseases like malaria and HIV (11 Facts About Pollution). Marine pollution is a problem and must be solved. This problem is killing marine animals and humans. There is too much evidence to deny that this is a real problem. In the 1970s, it was legal to dump waste into the ocean, since then most industries no longer dumped waste into the ocean, the situation has improved, but some industries still illegally dump waste into the sea. Humans are just beginning to see the problem in the philosophy of “dilution.” Many national laws and international protocols prohibit the discharge of harmful materials into the ocean; enforcement can sometimes be spotty, marine sanctuaries are created to maintain a pristine ocean ecosystem (end of the "dilution" era). These areas that have high levels of illegal material dumped are commonly the areas that do not have a better way to dispose of it (problems associated with dumping into oceans). A global dumping ban has apparently not been enough to eliminate the practice, and all governments will likely need to advance implementation of any plans to stop it. The situation has only gotten worse over time. Some industrial companies dump into the ocean, it is possible that smaller companies that deal with illegal materials dump into the ocean due to the lack of a way to properly dispose of the materials. Marine pollution is a problem and will require serious efforts to correct. Water pollutants don't go away easily enough and can affect your life in many ways, some of which are drinking water pollution and future use of ocean resources. Pollutants in water are not necessarily just paper pla...... middle……alive. Yet right now we are heading towards a water crisis. Climate change is threatening lakes, rivers and the main sources we draw from for drinking water are being used too frequently or are contaminated with pollutants and then disappear (Water). I hope I have answered the question of how this topic affects you and will affect future generations of this planet. That's why you should care because you don't want your children or your children's children to die from this, something you can help prevent, or at least help someone else's future family experience. Now, if we don't take action and take it soon to control marine pollution, the situation may get out of hand and will soon affect many people in many ways. These sources I gave you are the ones that concern us now, you can imagine what new dangers and problems will emerge if we don't act soon?
