According to the OEC, Rwanda's largest export is metals such as niobium, tantalum, vanadium and zirconium and the largest import is automobiles (Simoes). According to the World Bank, Rwanda's GDP currently stands at $17.09 billion (World Bank). The lack of technology has caused farming and agricultural progress to come to a halt. The majority of Rwanda's population was Roman Catholic. The demographic pressure in Rwanda was very strong.
