Terrorist attacks on both the World Trade Center and the Pentagon knocked unsuspecting citizens to the ground and onto their well-used behinds. This recent tragedy ties in with the story Pricilla and the Wimps by Richard Peck. Pricilla and the Wimps may be a light and comedic story, but it's still similar. Say no to plagiarism. An example of terrorism is the way Monk Klutter and his team of henchmen ran their collection agency, threatening little and new middle school students. They (the gang of monks) did this to solidify their reputation. The Kobras, as they called themselves, strutted their stuff to give them the "you don't want to mess with us" look. Monk had one of his little servants walking behind him carrying a switchblade that Monk used to give himself a manicure. He could have easily used a regular manicure tool, but instead he chose to use the knife to show off his superiority. New York terrorists could have used real bombs to bring down the World Trade Center, but instead they chose to use our planes, filled with our citizens, to bring down the massive towers. These actions were used to instill fear in the people, in hopes of preventing an uprising. Terrorists, even if they might scare the population, must be punished. The Kobras went around terrorizing students and giving the school after-school searches. They walked around aimlessly, causing trouble, and didn't expect any trouble in return. But they didn't seem to realize that trouble was staring them in the face, or rather, they were looking down on them. Monk, someone who usually does absolutely no dirty work, reaches out to senselessly cause physical harm to the only friend Pricilla has. Monk never got the chance to do the dirty work, before Pricilla humiliated him and left him in her locker for a week. The punishment Monk served was quite appropriate. He tried to annoy the wrong person and suffered as a result. The United States has yet to come up with a battle plan for terrorists, but as the old saying goes, let the punishment fit the crime. Poetic justice, some people enjoy watching others suffer, while others enjoy the finishing touches. Even if the United States doesn't lock a group of terrorists in a locker for a week, even though it would be fun to watch, they will be dealt a hand and the punishment will fit the crime or exceed it. All that is known is that those responsible will suffer.
