A place that holds or has held magic for them, where all difficulties and challenges seem to vanish and one can simply relax and forget all the negative energy of this world. My grandparents' house was that place for me, and it wasn't just the physical environment that made it special, but also my relationship with my grandparents. When I was a child I spent most of my summer there and I still go back to that place every chance I get. Everything about that place was extraordinary to me. Say no to plagiarism. The home served as a sanctuary for them for decades and brought with it many joyful memories over the years. This event was their first home ownership, they bought their first car while living in this home and it was also where my father, aunts and uncles grew up. The house is a two-story country-style house with beautiful gardens and lakes surrounding it. It has large windows overlooking the gardens and lakes from every room and a large roof with a chimney on top. My grandfather always lit the fireplace in the winter, so there was always a thin trail of smoke coming out of the chimney. I loved being there in the winter, watching the snow fall from the trees, covering every layer of the lake and the garden of my grandparents' house with white frost. It was a sight to behold. Summer and spring were wonderful too. There was a riot of color surrounding the house with flowers and fruit blooming everywhere. You may hear the birds chirping, see the flowers and fruits of the bees' nectar and feel the summer breeze on your skin. I loved playing and climbing trees to eat fresh fruit from the garden with my cousins. My grandparents eventually expanded the house so that all their children and grandchildren could live together as one big happy family during breaks. They love having people around. It was a tradition for all of us to pack our bags and live together in this house which created memories that will last a lifetime for me. The blue lakes and lush gardens served as playgrounds for me and my cousins. Pops of eye-catching colors decorated the gardens. We played many types of games, but our favorite game was "The Witch". While someone perpetrated a gaunt witch wrapped in a ragged cloak, the others tried to steal her "enchanting" fruits, without becoming prisoners. . The “enchanted fruits” consist of succulent, acorn-shaped mangoes and lychees that have not only been sacrificed for our games, but have also been used to make delicious pickles that leave a sweet, lingering flavor on your tongue that just makes you crave moreover. Pickles can be eaten with anything, although it is best eaten with my grandmother's famous biryani. This recipe is only known to my grandmother, and no matter how many times my mother or aunts tried to replicate it, nothing could ever come close to tasting like it. As the aroma wafted through the air making our mouths water, we all ran towards the table begging for the first plate of biryani and filling our bellies until they were little mounds that allowed us to move.
