IndexSummaryCharacter AnalysisMy OpinionSummaryThe story is about two young teenagers, Eleanor and Park. They meet on the school bus. Park has a place where he always sits alone, it's at the back of the bus. Eleanor is new to this school and when she couldn't find a place to sit she sat next to Park. Park hated her at first because he thought she was very strange due to her curly red hair, freckles and her strange clothing style in her eyes. At home Eleanor lives with her mother, stepfather and her four siblings: Ben, Maisie, Mouse and Richie Jr. Eleanor hates her stepfather because he beats her mother and kicked her out of the house a few months earlier. Park's family situation is the opposite of Eleanor's, he has 2 loving parents. Eleanor and Park's friendship grows every day when they sit next to each other on the bus. Park reads comics and Eleanor reads with him without really showing it because she doesn't want Park to think strangely, but Park does the opposite because he knows she's reading with him so it puts the comic in a good place for Eleanor to read with him. They start talking to each other and become very good friends. Eleanor is bullied at school out of anger. Park beats up the bully. Eleanor and Park also kiss and hold hands, but Eleanor is afraid of having a relationship with Park because she is afraid of Richie. The story ends with Eleanor going to live with her aunt and uncle and leaving Park. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Richie, Richie is Eleanor's stepfather, he sent Eleanor away for almost a year because he couldn't handle her. He's really violent and controlling. He abuses Eleanor's mother when she disobeys him. Get a Custom Essay My Opinion I really liked this book because it is about love and I really like books about love or romantic books. I really liked that it was from two different perspectives: Park's and Eleanor's. Sometimes it was helpful to have a better view of the story because you could read what both characters were feeling or thinking at the same time. Only I didn't like the ending, I think they could have written a better ending, I hope this book has a sequel so that some questions that are still in the reader's mind are answered. I think my friends will like it too because they like the same types of topics.
