Warren Buffett is someone I have admired for a long time. Warren Buffet was born in 1930 in Nebraska. “Buffett has become one of the richest men in the world and a celebrated philanthropist.” He has invested in many stocks and has been very successful in doing so, which is incredibly difficult to do. He started out making millions, but eventually turned into making billions of dollars just by knowing what to do in the stock market. He invested in insurance, food, energy, beverage and media companies at a young age. Buffett also took over the company known as Berkshire Hathaway in 1965. Say no to plagiarism. I admire Warren Buffett because he was a hard worker from an early age and he shows me that if you put in the work and work for it you too can be successful. Whenever I think I can't accomplish something, I look at people like this and tell myself if they did it, then you can do it too. I don't think I'll ever have the kind of money he has, but it keeps me going because in the end it will be worth moving forward rather than giving up on a dream or something else like that. Warren Buffett has found a way to earn a lot of money without wasting his life. There are many rich people in this world, but most of them have to work long hours and work mostly every single day of their lives until they retire. And once they retired they realized that they had wasted their life without even really enjoying it. In his early years Warren Buffett's father was a stockbroker and a US Congressman, this probably helped him a lot to be successful later in life. He made his first investment when he was just eleven years old in a company known as Cities Service Preferred. The shares went down for a while, but once they rose a little above the purchase price, Warren Buffett sold the shares, he made a bad choice because the price shot up after a while and this taught him to remain patient in the stock market. At thirteen he set up his own business as a newspaper boy. On this show from the beginning he was a hard worker. Buffett went to the University of Pennsylvania to further its business program. He remained at the University of Pennsylvania for only two years and later moved on to the University of Nebraska. Then "In 1951 he received his master's degree in economics from Columbia University, where he studied with the economist Benjamin Graham, and furthered his education at the New York Institute of Finance." Buffett was an avid reader of books and read The Intelligent Investor given to him by his professor. This book is what gave Buffett confidence in the stock market. Warren Buffett is also a very thoughtful man towards society. “In June 2006, Buffett announced his plan to donate his entire fortune to charity. Then, in 2010, Buffett and Bill Gates announced that they had formed The Giving Pledge campaign to encourage other wealthy individuals to pursue philanthropy.” Warren had billions of dollars saved, the fact that someone donates all their earnings to charity seems mind blowing to me, this shows how much he cares about other people too and not just himself. This is why I did my research paper on Warren Buffet - there has never been another person like him and he gives me the courage I need in life to strive for success and give back to people needy..
