IntroductionThe purpose of this assignment is to select a kaupapa (problem) from the field of social work/service in which I have a personal interest and discuss how and why it expands my understanding social relationships and Mauri-Ora (well-being). To address this task I will discuss the concept of the Indian model of “Sanskar” and how it relates to the Takepu (principles) in our social work. I will include my personal and professional experience to explain this. In addition to this I will answer the following questions.1. How might my mental health worldview influence my practices?2. How the Indian model of “Sanskar” works together with Takepu. Worldview Worldview is a mental model of reality, a framework of ideas and attitudes about the world, about us, and about the life we ​​use to live in this world. It is a complete belief system that answers a wide range of questions such as what are humans, why are we here, what is our purpose and goals in life, what are our values ​​and priorities, etc. What we know and how much we know for sure. Does reality only include matter/energy or is there more? A person's worldview is influenced by many factors. Such as their inherited characteristics, background experiences and life situations, values, attitudes and habits they have developed and more, and these vary from person to person. Therefore, even if these worldviews are shared by many people in a community, some individuals may have a completely different or opposite view. Carol A.
