1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY - not yet lengkap – general summary of our research Our group research is based on age and gender discrimination in the workplace which involved studies on men and women, also at the age level between 18 years up to 30 years and 31 years and beyond. We conducted a survey based on questionnaires administered to 20 interviewees with rapport; 10:10 of male and female; 10:10 age level ranging from 18 years to 30 years and 31 years and above years; who are currently employed. Through the research we have conducted, we conclude that some of the interviewees have experienced discrimination based on age and gender. Our topics on age and gender discrimination not only address respondents who have experienced these types of discrimination, but we also address those who are currently employed. We have selected qualifications, awards, salaries and experience to examine age discrimination. Meanwhile, for gender discrimination, we selected research on job description and employment, promotions, income, and pregnancy. The result of our research shows that discrimination based on age and gender exists in the workplace. There areA brief explanation has been explained till the end of this topic. Besides that, we also studied the theories related to our topic to check whether these theories fit our findings or not. 2.0 INTRODUCTION: What are gender and age discrimination? Gender discrimination involves treating individuals differently in their work because of their sex. The person who experienced this type of discrimination may have been rejected for a job. While, regarding statement number 16 (see Appendix), 100% of them accepted this statement due to the government regulation granting women three months maternity leave.
