Dakota Access PipelineThe North Dakota Access Pipeline situation going on right now is something I've seen many times on Twitter, but never taken the time to read and find out what was going on exactly happening. In all honesty, all I knew was that it had to do with plumbing and it happened in North Dakota. The first time I got real information about it was when we talked about it in class. Even then, all I found out was that someone was trying to build pipelines on Native American territory that would transport oil from North Dakota to Illinois. After examining the current situation, I discovered many interesting things. I can't say I'm an expert on the topic now, but I have a better understanding of what exactly is going on and the pros and cons that come with it. I also have my opinion on whether or not the tubes should be built. After reading just one article, there are many pros and cons that come with the situation.
