And, as the NHS Five Year Vision also stated that the review should make it easier for midwifery groups to set up their own NHS-funded midwifery services, this showed me how maternity reviews and legislative changes can have a colossal impact on the midwifery profession and if I were accepted onto this course, be educated on such topics and work with a wide range of women from different cultures, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds -economical would be a great motivator for me. Outside of college I enjoy reading, I subscribe to the British Journal of Midwifery which keeps me up to date with the clinical reviews and research available to midwives. I regularly read other obstetrics books and also enjoy walking, watching films and am a keen baker. I see my friends regularly and believe it is important to have a good work-life balance and my family helps me do this by supporting me in my studies to become a midwife. I am truly motivated to become a midwife and would be privileged to be accepted into a
