While this might seem selfish, I have gathered that this is just part of being a person with Asperger's. Without the schedules and expectations that Christopher has set for himself, he would not be recognized as a character who experiences stability in his life. During the week, Christopher follows a minute-by-minute schedule that starts at 7:20 am and ends at 9:30 pm. It outlines his morning routine, what he does on the way to school, what happens when he gets home, when he holds his pet mouse, Toby, and the steps he takes to get into bed at the end of the day. On weekends he has a time to write down his tasks, as opposed to the weekday schedule.
