To begin with teacher-student relationships, high school teachers have classes of approximately twenty to thirty students in each class. While university classrooms can hold up to three hundred students, making it impossible for a teacher to know every single student in that class. Additionally, in high school the student may have a more personal relationship with the teacher than in college, because high school students see their teachers five days a week compared to college where they might only do so twice a week. Even college teachers don't care if the student passes or fails the course. Whether or not the student passes the course is the sole responsibility of the student. While in high schools, teachers are constantly on the student's case regarding missing homework and grades. Most high school teachers will help the student to the best of their ability to pass the course. The student will not see this type of teacher-student relationship in college. In most cases, university teachers do not allow the student to submit an assignment late. Unlike high school where a student is sometimes allowed to turn in an assignment that lasts several weeks
