Restricting Cell Phones in Public Places How many times have you seen someone on their cell phone in a restaurant or public setting? There have been so many instances where I was out eating with my family and I looked at another table and a person was engaged in a deep conversation on their cell phone, while their family was with them. There are many reasons why restricting cell phones could have a positive outcome. It can be rude to a family, disrespectful to other people around that person, and when a family goes out together it should be a family time. The first is the fact that it is rude to a person's family. When a family plans an event that includes going out in public and having a meal together, the family expects that they will have conversations and spend personal time together. Too many times I have seen not just one family member on the phone, but several of them at the same time. They will text or talk. What happened to having a real conversation with your family?
