HR must develop strong relationships with other departments and have a coherent plan to make any company do better up to the bottom line. For a more successful business, cooperation between all parts of the business is needed, HR should most likely facilitate this, and when this happens, businesses thrive. “By using core HR tools such as business process redesign, organizational redesign, job redesign, and competency model development, we have been able to more effectively align our sales and support processes” (Hults , 2011). Fundamentally, involving HR in strategic planning efforts is a smart move. HR brings the business perspective while other departments (management, finance) look directly at the numbers. Human resources know people and know how to enhance human capital and make the right investments in staff. When used correctly, HR can bring about significant changes and positive outcomes within and with a company through its existing knowledge and capabilities.
