Topic > Argumentative Essay on Backpacks - 990

Introduction:If you have ever had a backpack that hurt your back, shoulders, or anywhere else like your spine, shoulders, and hips, this is due to the material and sometimes to this is bad for parents because they have to buy a backpack every time they have a child. I choose this problem because I also have back pain due to the backpack. According to the article it says, “Loaded with everything from textbooks to sports equipment to cell phones and laptops, children's backpacks are becoming weighed down with some of their most prized possessions.” Explain how since kids have so much in their backpack, it is weighed down by everything as we are growing up and will pack more stuff in for school, especially in middle school. The backpack itself weighs 22 pounds when things are added inside the backpack. Research Overview: My issue is the weight of the backpack and how it affects children and teenagers too. The idea is to make a model of my backpack and make it more comfortable for children and teenagers. Some researchers have made the backpack with wheels so that you have to carry it on your back so that can be easier. According to the article http://www.ospreypacks.com/en/group/vertical_endeavors__snowplay/variant_series some backpack manufacturers have made backpacks whose features are very comfortable to wear. You would never find yourself leaning forward. Backpacks were successful until the technology started getting better and when they started getting bigger and when they started getting bigger the weight was 22 pounds compared to how much stuff we carry now but when they were first created time in the 1910s we didn't have to put anything in there but at that time those backpacks were made of wood as a frame as they used to do...... half of paper...... they have to carry their backpacks for a long time period. This is the best solution because it concerns an academic problem and a medical problem. This is good because it will help the kids and the parents because the kids won't complain about how much their back hurts after school the parents won't have to keep buying more backpacks wasting all their money on more than 5 backpacks a year that us kids we use it because of how much it hurts. Counterarguments: My artifact could be better if I could probably find other errors I could probably do it better, it will be better when the backpack massages your back so it won't cause as much pain. I think my opponents would say that my project is very good because it addresses a global problem that affects all children.
