Floydd Money Rainsford, a man many considered the greatest boxer who ever lived, was preparing for the biggest fight of his career. Harrison Bergeron was the up-and-comer who had already fought 30 times in a year and remained undefeated. He had demolished everyone put in front of him and was now ready to face the undisputed world champion who planned to use his speed against Rainsford's brute force and strategy. Rainsford was known for his intelligence and his way of playing with the enemy. Rainsford's last fight was one that many people say will last through the ages. Rainsford last fought a man nicknamed General Zaroff. Zaroff had once been an undefeated champion, until Rainsford stepped in and showed him what a rookie could do. Rainsford intervened and did not use his brute force. Rainford knew that Zaroff was much stronger than him, but he also knew that Zaroff's speed and strategy were no match for his own. Rainsford entered the ring and suddenly began using the bob and weave technique on Zaroff. Once Zaroff noticed this, he began throwing body shots, but only landed one of the five punches he attempted. By the time they reached the eighth round, Zaroff was exhausted after constantly chasing Rainsford and missing so many punches. Rainsford decided to go on the offensive and began throwing hook combinations directly at Zaroff. Zaroff kept trying, the image was brutal. When the round ended, the referee began to take a look at the fighters. Zaroff's nose had been broken and was displaced to the side, his face was completely swollen, his eyes were swollen shut and he had cuts on several areas near his cheekbones. He hadn't defended himself very well. He often just went on the offensive... middle of paper... talking outside the ring with fans cheering, music blaring, and all the women fighting over him. Rainsford was living the dream life, the life every man wanted. He began making his dramatic entrance to the ring where he showed off his speed by practicing shadow boxing to the beat of a rap song, then slowly approached Harrison. Harrison then pulls a gun from his boxing robe and shoots Rainford. Fans start pouring into the ring and try to find Harrison, but he is lost in the crown. The champion was dead unchallenged, and Zaroff kept his word. People were looking for Harrison days after the murder and he was never found, many say he took his own life that day. Harrison said on the day of the fight, "I'm one of Rainford's biggest fans, but money can make you do crazy things." No one knew what he meant at the time, but when Rainsford entered the ring everyone found out..
